Eve

In 1950, a movie called “All About Eve” came out and is today considered one of the greatest films of all time. Pasadena Humane’s Eve came in with her daughter/kitty named Squirt. Their owner had to move into assisted living and could no longer care for them. We wish we could tell you “all about Eve” but we know only a few things about her. She is understandably confused and is unsure of herself here at the shelter. However, a staff member has described her as “relaxed . . . social, friendly with people, calm, and likes cuddles.” A volunteer has reported that she is a sweetheart and nudges and headbutts you for attention. Certainly, any adopter would need to understand the importance of allowing Eve to acclimate to a new home and that patience would certainly be rewarded with an affectionate and loving cat. Eve is a young twelve years old and is qualified for our Seniors for Seniors Program. This means if an adopter is sixty years old or more, then her adoption is totally Free! Give Eve her new fur-ever home and get the opportunity to learn all about Eve yourself!

It's Animal Control Officer Appreciation Week, and It's Animal Control Officer Appreciation Week, and we wanted to give a big thank you to our ACOs and Dispatchers! Their compassion and dedication saves the lives of so many animals. We, and the animals, are so grateful to these first responders - this week, throughout the pandemic, and beyond.

THANK YOU!
Meet Smokey, a cat with eyes as blue as his tongue Meet Smokey, a cat with eyes as blue as his tongue is pink! Smokey is seven years old, playful, loves to be the center of attention, and even gets along with dogs. He probably has some Siamese in him, hence the blue eyes, and his coat coloring is so beautiful and unique. We imagine he would make a wonderful muse (mews) for a painter or photographer, but honestly anyone can adopt Smokey as long as they tell him he's handsome every day (it's not a requirement of our adoption contract, but a strong suggestion!).

Papa is so multi-faceted - he loves people and having fun with other dogs, and enjoys the outdoors, but he's also a great apartment dog who just wants to nap and cuddle. He's been described by his foster family as "sweet and well-behaved". Plus, as you can see, he's extremely photogenic. Papa's got it all!
