Get ready to Wiggle Waggle Walk

PASADENA, Calif. (August 13, 2019) – – Grab your walking shoes and a leash for the 21st Annual Wiggle Waggle Walk at Brookside Park at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on Sunday, September 29. The Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA (PHS) hopes to raise $225,000 from the event, which will help provide food, shelter, veterinary care, and more to the nearly 12,000 homeless animals PHS cares for every year.

Thousands of people are expected to take part in the walk around the Rose Bowl. Animal lovers are encouraged to fundraise for the animals by registering as an individual or as part of a team on the Wiggle Waggle Walk website and asking family, friends and coworkers for donations. Supporters who are unable to attend the event can still donate via the Walk website.

Participants can choose to walk a 1- or 3-mile loop around the Rose Bowl or stay behind to enjoy vendor booths at Brookside Park. Attendees do not need a dog to join the fun—just a desire to help animals.

“After 21 years, the Wiggle Waggle Walk has become an iconic tradition in Pasadena and the greater Los Angeles region.” said Dia DuVernet, the organization’s President and CEO. “It’s a fun day in the sun with our animal friends, and every dollar raised goes towards helping the nearly 12,000 animals that come through our doors every year.”

Registration is $35 only until noon on Friday, September 27. After that, registration will be $50 and will only take place at the Walk on Sunday, September 29. All registrations include a participant bib and a bandanna for your dog. If you fundraise or donate $500 or more, you can earn a spot in our VIP Lounge, which will feature complimentary breakfast treats, adult beverages, and free giveaways.

Check-in opens at 8:00 a.m. at Brookside Park. The Walk begins at 9:00 a.m. and festivities, including demonstrations, vendor booths, team photos, food trucks, and music will continue until 11:00 a.m. Brookside Park is located at 360 North Arroyo Blvd in Pasadena.
