Group Volunteer Opportunities
Are you looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity for a small or large group? The Pasadena Humane Society has many ways for groups to get involved. You can help us at events, create a supply drive or fundraiser, or come for a day of crafting.
There must be at least one accompanying adult for every five children under the age of 15. Volunteers 15 and older may volunteer on their own. All volunteers must submit required Pasadena Humane Society volunteer waivers and forms. If you are interested in volunteering as an individual, please visit our open volunteer opportunities page.
Here are some upcoming and ongoing volunteer opportunities perfect for groups:
We are always in need of volunteers to help at major fundraising, adoptions and outreach events. Please consider joining us at the San Marino Motor Classic, CatCon, the Wiggle Waggle Walk or a Wellness Clinic. Let’s work together to save lives!
Does your group have a passion for animal welfare or a professional background in veterinary care? Then consider volunteering for one of our community wellness clinics!
Our mobile wellness clinics offer pet owners low-cost vaccines, microchipping and licensing services. These events are held at parks and other areas throughout our 11 animal control service cities.
Your group can help with set up and tear down, distributing flyers and forms and handing out water. Volunteers must be 6 and older. There must be at least one accompanying adult for every five children under the age of 15. Submit a group volunteer request for a Wellness Clinic.
If you are a licensed veterinarian or RVT and would like to volunteer at one of our wellness clinics, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
San Marino Motor Classic
Have a thing for classic cars? Love animals, too? Volunteer with us at the San Marino Motor Classic on June 11, 2017 at Lacy Park in San Marino. The San Marino Motor Classic features a broad array of motorcars spanning more than a century. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Pasadena Humane Society.
Volunteers will be assigned to different car classes, greeting drivers and helping cars line up for judging. It’s a great show benefitting local charities!
Volunteers must be 15 and older. Submit a group volunteer request for the San Marino Motor Classic.
Join the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA as we help facilitate on-site adoptions at the Furrever Home Adoption Lounge at CatCon on August 12 and 13, 2017, in partnership with CatCon’s Presenting Sponsor Rachael Ray™ Nutrish®.
We need volunteers to help clean kennels, hand out adoption materials, manage line control, and greet visitors. It’s a purr-fect opportunity to help our feline friends find their furr-ever homes!
Volunteers must be 15 and older. Submit a group volunteer request for CatCon.
Wiggle Waggle Walk
Join our community of animal lovers for the 19th Annual Wiggle Waggle Walk on September 24, 2017 at the Rose Bowl to raise funds for the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA. This furry, friendly, family event helps raise funds to provide food, shelter and medical care for the nearly 12,000 animals that come to our shelter every year.
Volunteers can cheer on canine participants, assist with parking and guest services or jump right in with set up and clean up. Plus, you’ll get a front row seat to some of the cutest dogs in town! You can even register your own Wiggle Walk team to participate in the 1K or 3K fundraising walk.
Volunteers must be 6 and older. There must be at least one accompanying adult for every five children under the age of 15. Submit a group volunteer request for the Wiggle Waggle Walk.
Fundraising and Supply Drives
If you’re looking for more flexibility for your group, please consider creating a fundraising or supply drive. This is great way for volunteers of any age to work together to help animals.
If your group would like to help raise money for the Pasadena Humane Society or organize a supply drive, please visit our DIY Fundraising and wish list pages. For more information or for questions, please contact email@example.com.
We can also accommodate your group for a tour or presentation, and you can submit your request here.
Calling all crafters! This is the volunteer opportunity for you! We’re always looking for ways to enrich the lives of shelter animals during their stay with us. We rely on volunteers like you to craft some home comforts for them by making cat, dog or rabbit toys and beds. You can view project instructions here. The crafting projects are fun, easy and very useful!
Volunteers must be 6 and older. There must be at least one accompanying adult for every five children under the age of 15. Groups must bring in their own basic crafting supplies. Submit a group volunteer request for a crafting day.
